MGMT / ENTR 2301 is a course for students who are interested in entrepreneurship but don't know where to start.
At Prairie View, entrepreneurship is a disciplined process and a shared language for identifying opportunities and solving problems in any field.
The course introduces students to Innovation-Driven Entrepreneurship through the Disciplined Entrepreneurship (DE) framework developed at the Martin Trust Center for MIT Entrepreneurship.
Students go through a sub-set of the 24-step process for identifying opportunities, segmenting markets, conducting Primary Market Research, validating problems, defining end users, and developing high-level product concepts.
Through interviews, field research, and hypothesis testing, students gain hands-on experience transforming ideas into viable business concepts. Students learn how to create value for their targeted market and extract value to ensure viability.
Thank you so very much!
